PHUBBERS everywhere! Phubbing is indeed very common these days but users should be aware of their surroundings while phubbing to be safe. Continuous phone snubbing will make one to lose their attention and drowned into their phone instead. This is very crucial as it gives opportunity to "bad intention people" to do their "bad jobs" (stealing, robbing, etc.). It is not to say that your gadgets or any belongings are so important but it's your safety that matters. Always stay vigilance instead of shutting down yourself into your own world. Look up, look around, and you will see clearer.
ReplyDeleteWow! I realise that I have become a phubber unknowingly. I admit that when I was phubbing, I did ignore the people around me and now I understand that I should not be like this. I should at least talk to my friends, my family members and care about the surroundings. Now I wonder how many wonderful things that I have missed after I own a smartphone. Besides that, I also realise that my younger sisters and brother started to have the symptoms of being a phubber. I think I should not always being a phubber and should find time to bond with them so that they will not be another me! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my! I am a phubber too!
ReplyDeleteI spend a lot of time on Facebook, and keep on update status on Facebook, even though it is just a not so important thingy!
I will frequently update my status and I will feel annoyed if no one like or respond to my post, and then I will repost another new status!
It is really not a good synthomp, I should change my behavior and start to reduce my time spend on social network.
Ya.
ReplyDeletewell...i guess most of us could be categorized as in the group of phubber, with the reason of the needs of keep ourselves updated with news feed in timeline or in conversational apps, included myself.
ReplyDeleteas i had been joining the college representative committee, i rarely use phone to call, most of the time, it is doing group conversational discussion and updating the updates for groups and personal information. this caused me sometimes 'look down' more rather than 'look up'.
especially these few days, i was busying with two big events: campaign for core course and college's open day. i can't even leave my phone aside as updates are coming in all the times and i needed to keep myself update on it.
i had tried once to not on my mobile day for a weekend to get myself free of work temporarily...guess what? messages from all sorts of social media were coming whole day long and i accumulated 1000++ messages notification from 10++ conversations in whatsapp messenger. and then i was like...speechless.
after all, with all those social activities, perhaps no one can really get free from phubbing.
Woo.. what i can say yaa.. Now I realise too that seem like people who are addict with gadgets. Laughing all time when see screen of my phone. And it shows that i become a phubber group too. After looking at this symptoms, it caused me look down and i would tried to change instantly my phubber behaviour.
ReplyDeleteFine, I admit. I am a phubber, but luckily is not an extreme yet. I am only a chubbier when I am in an awkward situation where friend around me are talking about issues/topic that i do not know. When I am understand with the contents in the conversation, I definitely will not phubber, perhaps.
